When I received my order, there was water (condensate) in the bottle. I thought this item was used by someone and returned it, so I made an exchange request. The replacement came fairly quickly, but this bottle also had water in it, so I figured they might test each piece with water before packaging it for shipping. So I cleaned it up and tried it. I just put some oil in to test and found it to be fine. This bottle emits a fine mist when the oil level is low. When full, it emits a direct spray instead of a mist. I've tried other sprayers and this is my favorite so far. It's not that perfect in cooking spray, but I don't want to consume the bad stuff that goes into cooking spray, so it should do that for me.
