Many years ago I bought the original simple look for camping and traveling. It turned out enough, I use it at home. To be honest I halved them. A double-layer half is enough for soap and cleans the face, neck and décolleté well, and even the hands from time to time. So I get a double benefit out of the box with them. I've also used it after waking up, but I usually just use a microfiber towel with hot water to rinse my face and sleep at night, remove crusts from my eyes, etc. NO soap in eyes, that's the plan. works for me I don't wear a lot of makeup, so to answer this question about whether it works well with all types of makeup, I have no idea. I just enjoy the cleanability. They stay dry when traveling and some fit in a small zipped bag or waterproof cosmetic bag. What they don't do is take in a lot of water. Let's say you are good at rinsing off soap residue after washing your face, it's not the best cloth to wash your face. I do this with my hands clasped in a cup, water and a hand or paper towel when traveling or a microfiber towel that I change daily in the bathroom, sometimes several times a day as they are great for drying, as do plain terry cloth rags for drying skin. before applying the lotions of your choice. I will keep buying. I don't seem to have any favourites, by the way. I like them all.
