The main reason I bought this unit was to test the battery/starter/charger. The device is easy to use and well designed. I have a favorite Autel Maxisys Elite as well as an Autel TS-601 for TPMS services so I decided to add an Autel 539B as my main battery tester. So far I like everything about this device, especially that it has an ammeter/voltmeter/ohmmeter (AVO meter). There are a few improvements I would suggest: 1. longer battery cables - during a run test I need someone to start the engine or put a block in the engine bay and hope it doesn't fall off. 2. Add "SOH" health and "SOC" state of charge readings and possibly resistance readings. As an engineer, I love details. Having more information helps the intermediate/professional level better diagnose problems. I bought a Foxwell BT-705 which also has these features because it has these features even though it doesn't have a built in AVO meter. Overall, the Autel 539B is a great product with little room for improvement. I highly recommend it!
