Advantages – Very durable construction material. Much better than the standard thin plates offered by the dealer. And nice to look at - a lot of screws. Even if you don't need them, they're certainly welcome if you've lost one - washers and a cushioning layer are included. Many older cars don't have this feature, but mounting anchors are included to protect the car from getting the plates too close together. Cons: The screw covers, while nice, are almost impossible to remove by hand. Having to change your Vin sticker every year can be very frustrating. You'll probably need pliers. (Maybe that's a good thing) Personal preference overall, but I think you can probably do without hard-to-remove caps. Just as a precaution for anyone bringing this up.
