This tool seems fine. Didn't use it in real work. however, so I'll update when I do. Stiffer hoses are definitely not pinched. I tried clamping a 1/2 inch diameter "clear vinyl" manual vacuum hose and it still sucked in air, but this tool was not made for this purpose. The reason the hose wasn't sealed is because of the teeth/notches on the locking mechanism. He retreats to the next niche. The quality of the tool seems decent, unlike the Port Vice version of this tool. With this, the port cargo version completely covers the same vacuum hose. The normal cargo tool in the port tends to dodge like a frightened pair of scissors trying to cut something thick. This tool is better structured.
