I wanted it so much.

That is, first of all. Price! For that reason alone, I wanted it to fit our needs. I want to replace a receiver in a rarely used room where my previous receiver is no longer working. Secondly. it plays USB and/or Bluetooth files (although other reviews say the BT range is pretty poor). Third. As I said, this is for a room that is rarely used, so I don't need super top stuff. Unfortunately, while the space is rarely used, I *really* want whatever I put in there to be somewhat functional. Unfortunately, this device doesn't really exist. Namely: 1) As others have said, the remote control. eggs. I have seen larger stamps. It *really* works, but so can a 1976 Ford Pinto. It doesn't mean I want it. 2) volume. That's the best part. If the actual knob volume isn't turned all the way up, the remote control volume is meaningless. If you have the master volume, let's say 2. Turning up the volume with the remote doesn't make it louder. If you turn the master volume all the way down, you can turn it off with the remote control. So what you're saying is a big deal, isn't it? Just crank the master volume all the way up and leave it there! But. As soon as you turn off the device, it will reset. Next time you turn it on it'll be running at full power and hopefully your speakers (and ears) can handle it. haha3) Speaking of remotes, the off button isn't really "off". It's standby only, you have to physically flip the switch on the receiver to actually turn it off. Whatever you want to do, believe me. because if you need to turn the volume all the way down for the remote volume to work. Your speakers blast a HUMMMMMM that will wake the dead. 4) As I said, I wanted this for a rarely used space and for playing USB files. So I copied all 13,935 MP3s I have onto a flash drive. And I can say that *this* receiver function works perfectly. I inserted the flash drive and after a few moments it started playing. I chose "randomly" and that's what happened. only one problem The back button also randomly determines what the next song will be. hahaha. Let's say you have as many songs as I do and one plays in particular that you just LOVE and want to hear again. No, it won't. Pressing "Back" on the remote control OR on the receiver itself will simply randomly select a new song. When that bad boy says "accidentally," it's not a joke, bro. haha5) All of my experiences that I describe above happened within about 15 minutes, by which point I was already sighing and thinking that I would probably send this thing back. And sadly, that's exactly what I'm going to do. Between choppy volume, a terrible remote control, humming in the speakers and not even a simple "back" the song repeats itself when accidentally switched on. I thought no matter how seldom the room is used, this thing gets used LESS. haha now I don't want to end on a negative note, so a word of caution: if you just want something that plays music and is cheap, don't plan on using it in very complicated ways. This thing will most likely get the job done. Tell. some new-age background music for your art gallery, or something you wouldn't mind physically adjusting the volume once and then leaving it on all day while your arrogant customers cross their arms and say that the image is "to them." speaks". such an app, i would say you are in business with this thing. Who knows, you might end up with the one I'm about to send back. haha
