I ordered them because Sony and Microsoft didn't take into account when designing the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One controllers respectively that the headphone jack goes directly to the player's body. It's okay if your headphones already have a 90-degree plug. For those of us who haven't bought headphones with 90-degree connectors, this can cause the headphones to break from repeated pulling on the cord, especially when kids are playing. After putting good headphones through the rigors of 5 and 7 year old Fortnite fanatics, I lost a few wires this way. With these adapters, the cables can now hang freely and not suffer the same fate. Comparing a $7/$3 pack of these adapters to $15 each for replacement cords (not to mention your headphones may not even have a replacement cord) is a no-brainer. A clean, comfortable solution at a good price.
