Work. It is made of rigid, open-weave plastic mesh. We've seen these smaller mesh bags being used for things like plastic toy soldiers and other plastic toys. It is strong enough if you use it on light objects and not sharp ones. We have three of these and they make great hooks in the garage to keep things off the floor and organized. We use one for our selection of basketballs, soccer balls and baseballs. The great thing is that when these balls get dirty, we quickly remove the tube and just toss them in a mesh bag. They dry perfectly in the air while floating. We also keep our self-retracting tubes in a bag - again, lightweight tubes dry perfectly in a bag. Finally, we found this bag to be perfect for pool and sandpit toys. Quick tube release and they dry in the bag. Thanks to the three bags, we have eliminated the mess of balls, tubes and toys, and now it is very convenient to simply take these items out of the tube and bag to air dry. As long as the items are light and not sharp, I can see that the bag will last despite its cheap construction.
