USB-A ports are wider than the physical slot opening in my device (same experience documented by at least one other customer). Luckily, I'm only interested in the USB-C port, which is slower than it should be (160MB/s when it's supposed to be 500MB/s). The device was detected on Windows Server 2019 on my Dell R820 without having to manually install any drivers, so great. If it wasn't such a hassle to remove this from my server I would return it. However, it's a HUGE pain to replace, so I'm just happy with a working USB-C port. In addition, the company seems to be very responsive. I asked a question here and they responded within an hour. The disgusting thing is that the design of the USB-A ports is just physically wrong. If I had to do it all over again, I would buy a USB 3.1 card with USB-A connectors rotated 90 degrees from this one.
