This is an update: you get what you pay for. I bought these because of the price and the location of the holes in the handles, I wanted them to face up instead of out. The fold-down locking piece is plastic, not metal. Looks and feels cheap. The screws are not made of steel, so one broke off when I was screwing it in and is now being put in the screw hole. Another undresses. There's just no quality. As they are built in I will probably keep them but they are not a high quality item. Update: I was going to install spikes today and when I put one of them in the top hinge position the plastic around the hinge broke. I'm sending them back today. Unfortunately I can't remove the brackets from the truck as I'm not sure if the bolts will come out.
