This iron powder is great for intentionally creating rust.
This is exactly what I needed. I used metallic effect paint and was wondering if I could make my own. The first batch of iron I ordered was the wrong kind, but it's used to make magnet goo so it doesn't go to waste. This iron will rust what I wanted. I do tests with the right mix of iron powder for coloring to get the best results. As a test, I put some powder on a test card and sprayed it with a liquid oxidizer. It worked great. I'm really happy that I can give things that rustic vintage crunchy/rusty look.
