Review on Soft And Durable Baby Blue Bernat Sport Yarn, 12.3 Oz, Gauge 3 Light, 100% Acrylic by Shah Jones

I'm a little disappointed in how this yarn isn't really soft. I have the same Bernat Baby Sport from the local big box store and it's much softer than this skein from Best Buy. Made some baby beanies with them and they came out really stiff feeling. I tried steaming blocking them, hoping it would soften up a bit, but not by much. Made a women's slouchy hat with it and it's really stiff. I did try throwing it in the wash to see how it would hold up - machine wash AND dry in a garment bag and it held up fabulously - no pilling at all and looks exactly as it did before washing. Didn't really help with the softness though. If you want soft, stick with Bernat Softee. It's got a little sheen to it, but a ton softer than this line.
