Works perfectly! - Solar & Wind

I have another solar charger that I purchased from Harbor Freight that came with a battery. I managed to bump into it with the front of my car - my advice is to put things high enough for you to see. So I thought I'd try that but I was afraid it might not work because it's smaller. I had it charge a Harbor Freight battery which I wasn't sure was still good because I hadn't charged it in at least a month and kinda ignored it while my RV's battery stayed charged. So I connected the SOLPERK solar panel and let it charge for about three days - we have a bright sun in central Texas so there was no shortage of solar power. Then I tried my voltmeter to see if it charges. The battery is fully charged. I'm happy so far. I like the size - it will be easier to take it to my RV and take it out when I need it. Can't comment on durability as I've only had them for a few weeks with no rain. It's easy to assemble; It's so easy because only one panel and cables need to be connected together. Obviously you don't need much instruction once you know that red is positive and black is negative on batteries and you attach the black clip to the black post and the red clip to the red post. You can move the panel from time to time to better catch the sun, but I'm generating way more than I need as the solar panel is mostly south-east facing. The price is very reasonable; I will probably buy another one for my other camper. I'm amazed at how solar energy actually works! My car battery died because I accidentally left my trailer connected to my car overnight - don't do it! A neighbor with a long extension cord plugged his huge charger into the battery for ten minutes and nothing happened. He gave up; It was very hot. He thought it was dead. So I connected another solar panel to the battery and put it on the roof of the car and let it sit for a day and night. The next morning the car started straight away! So, yes, solar power is efficient and free (if you can take care of the panel) and should last indefinitely with proper care.
