Review on 🔋 HiLetgo 14.8V 4S 30A 18650 Li-ion Lithium Battery BMS PCB Protection Board with Cell Balance – Integrated Circuits by Brian Gopalan

Rating after further testing. 2.5V low voltage cutoff tested. I wish it was higher or adjustable. The trim works, but only above 4.20V. I noticed that it turns off when I touch parts of the board, so this may have something to do with my first results as the board was in contact with the cloth tape. Also, I realized I have a bad cell that will quickly discharge and recover to show a higher voltage. Original Review: It's very frustrating to spend a lot of time soldering everything and realizing it doesn't work as advertised. This seems to balance the cells, but still allows them to approach 4.3V. I'm having a hard time fully testing BMS boards without sacrificing the battery, so I'm not sure where it shuts down due to over-voltage. The board I received consistently shuts down at 3.7V per cell with a light test load. This leaves about 25% capacity. Under heavy load this will surely shut down with 50-80% capacity remaining. Given the many complaints in other reviews, they seem very inconsistent and unreliable in performance. 2 stars for not exploding my battery and I have a limited low power use case.
