Attention! This device is not a boost/buck device as advertised - it is a boost device only (the output voltage is always equal to or greater than the input voltage). At the time of my order, this unit was labeled as a boost converter, which means the output voltage can be higher or lower than the input voltage depending on configuration. tested with each load as my needs required a device that would step up and step down the voltage simultaneously (I need a fixed output voltage regardless of the input). It also turned out that an input voltage of at least 6.5V is required to turn it on, which deviates slightly from the specified minimum input voltage of 5V. I haven't tested what the output voltage will be, I need a strictly fixed output of 12V.
