I design and build speakers in my spare time and just needed a cheap cable to use with the amp in the shop. That fits the bill. Well, for one hundred and thirty-three cents you have to admit that there are likely to be quality control issues and some of these cables leave the factory damaged. I decided to roll the dice. And the serpent's eye fell out. While the plugs connect with firm authority, this stopped working after about five minutes. the signal became weak and I lost stereo sound. Unfortunately I was testing one of my projects at the time and it took me forever to switch cables and test before realizing that this cable was to blame. (Certainly, my homemade products are less reliable than this plain, plain cord, but no.) Not worth giving back. Just stay away and save yourself the headache. There is enough e-waste out there already, don't make the problem worse. I'll probably just save the insulation, which seems thick. Someone else recommended reusing connectors, which is also a smart idea that I can copy.
