Review on JAN JUL Waterproof Rain Suit Fleece Lined Boys' Clothing by Bob Boan

Costs money! good for me

What I love about the newer models is the nice design they now offer and the elastic waistband helps a bit. I still love the inner fleece lining, hood and leg room. Also VERY warm and almost completely waterproof! I'm deeply disappointed in how this model differs from the old model I bought and here's why: - The elasticated cuffs are looser which isn't as tight around the boots and wrists which is really disappointing. Because of this, water can reach up to the ankles, so I cannot say that this suit is fully waterproof. I think the zipper is not a very good design. The first model consisted of two zippers that ran further down the leg. Most suits have the zipper drop slightly down one leg to extend the life of the zipper. This new suit doesn't have it and it ends between the legs. There isn't enough room to put the suit on easily and I don't think this suit will last long due to the extreme tension required to put the suit on. My suggestion for future designs is to offer a tighter cuff or an adjustable ankle and not bother with an elastic waistband to save money. Also, zip up a slightly longer length that goes down one leg to extend the life of the suit and allow room for easier donning.

Pros
  • The design makes it easy and quick to put on
Cons
  • Cannot be machine washed
