I just used them to take off my gel manicure and I'm in love👏 with these things👏! I bought these on a whim after getting fed up with the finger clips (which I bought after getting fed up with the slides) and they are amazing. and then place them in a small bowl of 100% acetone to soak the cotton. Then I rolled each and washed off the gel-mani in 20 minutes (Gelish brand). That's at least half the time it normally takes me to remove the gel and I attribute this to the pad pressing the acetone firmly to the nail and not letting it evaporate. They were very easy to put on and really comfortable, but definitely cozy. This was the easiest gel removal I have ever done and I have been doing gel nails for many years now. I would consider this a must have for those doing their own gel nails. I'm not familiar with acrylics, but if it's like removing the gel then they should work fine for that too. As I wear gel nails for 2-3 weeks it will be a while before I can update but I will come back and comment on how they hold up with repeated use. The only downside I currently see is that they don't work on very long nails, which I would describe as more than half an inch from the fingertip. Edit: I've used them many times now and can't imagine a gel manicure at home without them. There is no noticeable change in the product, it hasn't stretched, torn, deteriorated, etc. I've found that I prefer cutting cotton balls into quarters for use in than unwrapped cotton balls.
