After trying some other (more expensive) in-ear headphones for my group's in-ear monitor system and being disappointed I decided to try these great value headphones. The sound quality is excellent. I will say that the silicone tips that come with it are not very good quality so plan on getting Comply tips. The best tips let the bass really come through and sound better than the Shure. Headphones should fit snugly in the ear canal. The frequency response is generally fairly flat; high frequencies are clear and audible but not harsh. The mids are flat, perhaps a little crossed out, and the lows are sharp but not muddy. But then again, the tips make all the difference when it comes to low frequencies. The memory cable works as intended. I wish the letters "L" and "R" on the speakers were more prominent for use in dark scenes, but that's a minor complaint. They're a bit chunky due to the hybrid design and almost look like a hearing aid or something. But if sound and price are your biggest concerns, then they offer the best value for money. The cable is a strange brown color; I would have preferred the drivers to be black, but at least the cable is good quality and doesn't tangle. They have all the qualities of a quality pair of headphones at a great price. I would highly recommend them and I have 3 more for the other band members as they blow away what we used.
