I bought this product to distill the water we use to make coffee, tea and beverages. I bought a model with a built in digital timer and it works great and definitely makes a big difference in the taste of coffee and tea. I've been using this product two or three times a day for a month and a half. I change the charcoal filter every 2 weeks and use a bottle of dish soap about every 2 weeks to remove scale and calcium. So far the burner is working perfectly. I fill the burner to the line with hot tap water and turn it on, then set the timer for 3 hours and it makes 3000ml for each run leaving just enough water at the bottom not to burn the residue. Advantages. 1. Excellent value for money and ease of use.2. Makes a big difference in the taste of my city water.3. Very easy to use and maintain.4. Supplied with scouring powder to remove scale and limescale. Disadvantages1. The handle of the jug is a little flimsy.2. They don't send the carbon filter in the package.3. The fan makes a loud white noise when running. Keep this in mind if you live in a small apartment. Another note: This burner must be operated in a vertically open area in order for it to emit heat. If you try to run it under your cabinets, the heat in the area will prevent the burner from working as efficiently. I pull my burner out from under the cabinets so the hot air can be easily vented through the front of the cabinets. Even in small rooms or apartments, the burner can raise the temperature in the room by several degrees. One of the best purchases I've made in a long time.
