Straps cross at top, effectively blocking access to interior. That's why it gets 2 stars. Why, just why would anyone put criss-cross straps across the hole? I asked my husband to adjust the straps so they don't cross over but still loop over the hole. A little less annoying, but not by much. It's cute, the teddy bear is cute, it's not standout stuff, it's a 11pm bag. It's a decent size and holds my stuff. But if you don't want to play Twister every time you need to open your purse, find the ones with the best design.
