I've had better success than many reviewers, although I can't say why. This prevented my dog from eating my books while I was away (despite her great thirst for knowledge). It seems more like "luck" whether it works or not. I will say that it tastes absolutely awful. I had some on my hands and even after washing my hands many times I could still taste the splatters on every product I touched. You could easily market it as a product to help people stop nail biting. Just apply a layer like nail polish and you can easily kick the habit.
