Bought in August 2022 from Amazon, 2 pieces of the same series 1CH164-302. ated immediately to firmware CC26. Stood in a homemade NAS along with two WD WD20EARS. Compared to WD, they heat up on average 1-2 degrees more (the average temperature is 40, WD has 38), a little noisier, especially at the start. In terms of performance as a backend to NFS with sequential write / read - 70-80 MB / s (over gigabit ethernet), as a backend to iSCSI merges - 50-60 MB / s (over gigabit ethernet) (WD gives 80 MB / s c and much more responsive, so WDs are sent via iSCSI). One of the 2 disks died the other day (December 2022), an archive of films was stored on it - "cold" data, which, in general, indicates that the warranty case - i. E. associated with a defect of the drive, and not with the features of operation. In general, the drive was worth its money at the time of purchase, however, I regret that I did not spend a little more and did not take WD. The numbers are given for my installation, as an example. This is my personal opinion about this model. Your opinion may differ. : Seagate has replaced the drive under the RMA procedure
