I expected better. in Garage & Shop

I've waited over six months to check the review so I could experiment a bit with the jack. This socket is difficult to use. I have used many jacks in my life and this is by far the toughest. By hard I mean you have to twist the handle with both fists to get the valve to close hard enough for the jack to go up under load and not down due to loss of pressure. That in turn, of course, requires at least the same tricky twist to release the valve to lower the car. The design of the handle and butt is also an issue. very hard buoyancy by binding. The screws that hold the handles together are poorly threaded and constantly loosen. I attached it with a drill and a needle. Bottom line, I had to oil the damn jack and work with it for a while so I didn't shove it in the alley. I would not buy this jack again. There are better products for the money if you can wait for a sale. UPDATE: 4/1/20 Piston to handle link pin broke with jack supporting engine. I had to use a bottle jack to support the engine to get the jack out. The pin was some kind of scrap Chinese metal. I replaced the pin and have since bought a better socket. This is used as a backup.
