Used to boot operating systems on systems and seems to work great. An 8GB double DVD is now getting too small for some full versions, and a BD can cost too much for temporary use, so 16 or 32GB is the way to go. I'm not sure how many times I've been able to make it a boot disk, but I've used it a few times to fix some computers. ALSO, since many newer computers don't have CD/DVD drives, you'll need something like this to restart your computer if you need to replace the drive. Haven't tried it on Mac mini yet, but I think it should work. I will update if it doesn't work. HOWEVER I will say that I try to avoid choosing SanDisk even though they may be cheaper and some software applications specifically state that you should not use SanDisk. I'm not sure what the exact reason for this is. But this is one of my first Kensington memory cards since I had to drop Lexar and couldn't find anything comparable from Samsung. It also appeared to be written at a good speed.
