Although it cleans dust quite well I have a few issues with it and I suggest you find something better than this. The "feathers" (microfiber) on the rag don't extend very far, about 5 inches in diameter, which is 2.5 inches from the rod. This and the fact that the top of the pole isn't very well covered in microfiber makes this house a little tricky as you can easily hit the pole on whatever you're cleaning. The tip is covered with a rubber cap, but if it falls, it may scratch the fan blades, etc. The other rags we have are at least 7 inches in diameter and have more extension and more "feathers" at the tip. to avoid direct contact with the rod and what you are cleaning. This rod is on the thin side and when fully extended the weight of the lobe on the top makes it difficult to manage as it moves up and down leaving you at a loss as to how to keep it stable. Since we need to clean the glass chandeliers, we don't want the rag to move erratically. with a wider end of the flap and with a larger extension without an open tip, like this flap.
