Review on πŸ”Œ High-performance Dual HDMI M.2 Card by Magewell for Eco Capture by Mark Dahmer

Revainrating 4 out of 5

This is a tiny capture card

I installed it in an ASRock Deskmini 110 which uses the new Intel Mini-STX form factor. I've used a USB 3.0 HDMI capture card before, and this M.2 card further reduces the footprint. My stream on Wednesday evening ran smoothly with this card, even though I only used 1 of the 2 HDMI inputs. The cooler is not too big. I doubt you can fit 2 on a dual M.2 mount, but this might work on a motherboard with an M.2 slot on the back. I've planned a mini-ITX build with an M.2 connector on the back, so let's see how it works. Hopefully I won't have to modify the hull. It's worth noting that it comes with two separate HDMI cables (each about 6-8 inches long) with panel mount connectors. However, no mounting screws were included.

Pros
  • HDMI x 2 + onboard audio x 2
Cons
  • For seniors
