Review on 📶 Netgear Nighthawk C7000 Cable Modem WiFi Router Combo - Compatible with Xfinity, Spectrum, Cox (Renewed) by Becky Chopra

I have been renting a modem/router from our cable company for 5 years from 2014 for $10 a month! within 5 years. Do the math. Finally, I pulled out one of the cable TV bills my wife was paying for and found they were charging me for this monster. It ended immediately and I kindly dumped it on the cable provider. I immediately did a little research and came across this NetGear device. Setup wasn't as easy as expected from plug and play (see below), but activation was easy and despite the cost, it looks a lot sleeker than my previous device. The only thing that annoyed me a little was the incompatibility of the NightHawk application. Apparently this particular model is not supported by the app which is a bit confusing and offensive considering this product says NIGHTHAWK. That being said, trying to get into your router settings will land you down a rabbit hole as the Nighthawk app is incompatible. I had to do a little research and reading it will save you time. Uninstall the Nighthawk app and download the Netgear Genie app. This is an old version of the Nighthawk app that is no longer supported by NetGear, but it still works. OR. You can type the IP address written on the back of the Nighthawk into your search browser and you'll be taken to the settings! Hope that helps!
