We bought a pair for a 6 year old and a 3 year old. The colors are strong and the binoculars are well made. Soft handles and compact size make them comfortable for little hands. They are easily adjustable to adapt the eyepieces to the width of the eye. The children immediately became addicted to the binoculars and used them a lot. It will take a little time and practice for a three-year-old to get used to the idea of the focus wheel and how it works, but that's okay. The included carry case and shoulder strap are very good, as is the lens cloth. These appear to be very good binoculars for young people.
