I tried this tool on a 2013 Ford Explorer rear hub, the knuckle on these cars is aluminum and the wheel hub is steel, chemically reacts and the two surfaces bond and grab. On the one hand I had to take the steering knuckle and use a 12 ton hydraulic press to separate the wheel hub, on the other hand I wanted to try this tool, I tried hitting it with a hammer after installing the tool and it wouldn't even separate the metal surface, on which you need to hit with a sledgehammer flattened at the point of impact. Then I decided to jack the car up so the entire side I'm working on is off the ground, put a heavy floor under the impact edge and lower the car onto the floor stand so basically half the weight of the Cars using this tool as leverage and I repeated it 3 times and the wheel hub came loose without having to use a sledgehammer. The Explorer weighs about 4600 lbs, so there is 2300 lbs of force to knock out the stuck wheel hub.
