Smell? Small when new but scattered and never terrible. I bought the pack as I only needed the trunk and rear seat covers but for the price there are front pieces to cover the back of the 2nd row seats folded down. In the trunk I did not cut anything, but folded it into a frying pan. I used the plastic rivets that came with the package to hold the folded corner together after drilling the hole. (see photo) I have a Mazda 3 which has quite a bit of rear legroom but is relatively easy to trim. I have a lip that goes under the front and I left the back lip that folds down the back seat fronts for the "lip".
