I am surprised that the quality of this duvet is much better than I expected! From the very low price alone I figured it would fall apart quickly and planned to only use it for a month or two this winter. However, despite appearances, it doesn't pill at all after washing and drying, and it's still very soft after numerous uses and washes. We live in warm Los Angeles so it doesn't really matter to us, but there is one thing. What might bother some people is that this blanket is not that thick. Definitely not as thick as it looks in the photo. When folded the height is probably 1/3 of what it looks like in the photo in the description.
