I'm assuming you already know the benefits of squalane, so I'll review the product myself. My bottle was packaged in a standard white branded box with a black foam pad inside. When I took the bottle out I noticed that it had a "slimy" coating on the outside, although it was uncracked and mostly well packaged. Do not be afraid; this is quite normal as this slimy substance is just squalane that has leaked out of the bottle. For some reason, the manufacturer has chosen to use pumps that are already deployed, rather than using permanently installed pumps that have to be unscrewed before use. Because the pumps are already "locked up," some leakage occurs when the carrier turns the box upside down; in which he inevitably intends to do so. As far as I can tell, by looking at the amount of squalane in the bottle, I bet I'll drop a few drops like most, and it doesn't matter. In terms of quality, I've used "The Ordinary" squalane and this one together and haven't noticed any noticeable difference. Considering that The Ordinary costs about $6 an ounce, this 8-ounce bottle is a lot more value-driven — even if you lose something in shipping. The last thing to note is that I'm not a big fan of slightly opaque clear bottles. Squalane is very light/UV sensitive. So if you plan to store it for a long time, keep it in the foam box that it comes in. If you throw it away, just take some aluminum foil and wrap it tightly around the bottle. This prevents light from entering the bottle and helps preserve it. Also a cool, dry place, but this is standard practice for most things in your home. Have fun moisturizing!
