Review on ⏲️ Polder Digital Kitchen Timer: Streamlining Precision in Culinary Timing by Brenda Ward

This countdown and countdown timer is well designed and its alarm is relatively loud. But when I received it, the display wouldn't turn on. I have read the instructions to no avail. In the end I decided the battery was dead and opened the battery compartment to find that there was a piece of clear plastic attached to the end of the battery to keep it from dying in storage. I removed that and everything worked wonderfully. It would be so cool if the instructions said to open the compartment and remove the plastic tab, and even cooler if the plastic tag said "remove before use" in red ink. That's the only reason it got 4 stars instead of 5. Great timer; crappy assembly instructions.
