Review on High-Speed USB Direct Cable for Kenwood KCA-IP102 iPhone / iPod by Sri Mims

Bought for use with my Kenwood DNX690 and iPhone4S. When I connected my iPhone to it, the phone quickly connected and disconnected. After disconnecting and reconnecting, the phone didn't see the radio at all until it restarted. Then it just looped fast again. My cable was obviously defective and was returned for a refund. I can't say if that's normal or just unlucky. Before buying another I found that contrary to the manual for my DNX690 you don't need this cable. The standard Apple iPhone USB cable works great and is cheaper. There's no need to buy a Kenwood cable if you already have one from Apple, and it comes standard with every iPhone.
