Nice but very difficult to assemble

First, if you don't have 3 or more arms connected to your torso, it's better to have a second person. The installation is extremely troublesome. Secondly, don't count on instructions, they are useless. The chart numbers didn't even match the details. I'm pretty sure the big flat piece of metal that abuts the ceiling (the back plate) isn't a screw, but it's been a few weeks since the last piece of furniture was assembled so maybe I'm crazy. Third, the technology to do this is ridiculous. The wires are ridiculously long, I had to shorten them by over 80%. I can't think of a ceiling where you would have to install it full length. They wouldn't even look that long. Another thing is that the instructions don't say anything about how to change the length. Pulling them shorter and adjusting the little latch is pretty easy, but don't pull too far like I did and don't spend half an hour trying to figure out how to get them to stretch without breaking them. Eventually I realized that there is a small cylinder that you need to push into the cone where the wires connect to the body, which allows you to re-extend them. The machining of all the screws is disgusting, even for a cheap product. So many crackling threads. And the two screw posts on the back wall for attaching the housing cover? Ordinary bolts and a small nut? It's best to make sure they're tight before inserting the backplate, as making them with a carriage bolt, other fastener, or attaching them to the body was just too difficult for the buffoon designer. Then what they call "thumbs". Glass screws are just pins with a tiny slot in them that you can use a flat head screwdriver with if you have the steadiest hands in the world. Otherwise it would be better to have the smallest fingers in the world but still have enough strength and friction at the fingertips to squeeze them. If you make them into actual slim thumbscrews (see them on google images) it might still look good and make this part fit 1000x better. In conclusion I gave back one star because it looks really good, especially for the price. . I can go back and pick it up after it cools down but it shouldn't have taken more than half an hour and it took 2.
