This thing is amazing. The suction power is so good I'm sure it could suck a golf ball through a garden hose. I have two floors of hardwood floors and I can't believe dirt got on them. The suction makes it almost difficult to move the wand across the floor, it's so strong. The rod is metal and extends inward to adjust height. The body of the vacuum cleaner is plastic, but it seems solid enough that it glides across the floor very easily. Emptying the canister is easy, just open it over the bin and shake, done. It comes with a red cloth pouch for the tools including a crevice tool, a pet hair tool, a brush and another floor tool. The hose is strong and doesn't feel like it will break on its own. I think it's on par with Dyson in terms of suction power but at half the price. When in doubt about getting it, just do it. TREAT YOURSELF.
