Fan works great and has more settings than most. It's also very quiet on lower settings. It works as advertised and circulates a lot of air in the room. A NOTICE. The only downside to this fan's design is the inconvenience of moving it. The post detaches when pulled up and does not lock, meaning that when you try to lift it by the bar the very heavy base detaches. I've found that to move it I have to take it apart and then reattach the head so I don't drop the base and damage the floor again. Even lifting at the base with your head on is extremely clumsy. However, the fan works well, looks good and is quiet.
