Why bad reviews?

I really don't understand the bad reviews. I have a feeling this is coming from people who don't read everything or anything. The instructions say "Do not charge it from the USB port while recording, this will generate magnetic feedback during recording." So basically use an external wall charger (not included) or 2 A-cell batteries to power the device while recording. Others might be expecting too much I think. This will take your old tape and burn it digitally in a very simple way. I already had and used Audacity, which needs to be installed to record, but this cassette player worked great with it. Also remember that there are different USB ports on a PC. Some ports might not be able to read this thing. But basically all you have to do is plug it in and Audacity will record the audio. It also looks very nice and plays my old cassettes with no problems. I had 3 old players that kept eating my cassettes even after I wiped them down with alcohol. This one did NOT eat those tapes. played them well! A tape was from my wedding ceremony 19 years ago and now I can finally do it digitally. A few more cassettes were recordings of my old band concerts from 25 years ago. Everything is well played and recorded! This little player has done everything I could have hoped for! Buy it, use it properly and you shouldn't be disappointed. All the best. :-)

Pros
  • WHEN THE 90'S MEETS 2017 IT'S AWESOME! The cassette player is made in the same way as before, ie in the size of a slightly clumsy player. It's made of durable plastic, just like the rugged Walkmans you've had before. In fact, it does a great job as a walkman, playing cassettes or MP3s from a flash drive without conversion.
Cons
  • Power outlet required
