Review on 🌲 Cedarwood Shaving Cream by Taylor of Old Bond, 0.33 lb. by Cindy Foster

Revainrating 5 out of 5

An excellent shaving cream with a delicate natural scent.

This was my first exposure to shaving creams and I have to say I love it. I can't compare it to other Taylor's products or other high end shaving creams but I have to say that it lathers faster and smears much better than the shaving soap I've used and it feels and smells a lot better than normal soap. Pharmacy shaving products. This material lubricates the skin exceptionally well. Browsing the web, I started with the usual advice about an "almond-sized" spoon, but quickly found it was too much for me to foam in my hand and get the right consistency. I'd say a pea-sized scoop (perhaps a large pea) is enough to get a rich lather that's still light enough for a close shave. And since it's a cream, I can (no pun intended) shave a few minutes less of my morning routine since I can lather my hand and not have to heat the shaving mug. With the small amount needed for one shave, this jar will likely last for several months, so the investment isn't as big as it sounds. The smell is also very pleasant. It's not a cedar scent like you get at the hardware store. It's more like. Cedar sap or the inside of a quality cigar humidor that doesn't smell like dried tobacco. This is a subtle, pleasant and natural men's fragrance that I personally like very much. I don't want to smell like cologne so something like this really suits me. 10 out of 10, I can only recommend it.
