I love all the changes they've made to the new controller. This review was written by a PC gamer, I have never owned an Xbox. The triggers are a matte, hard, rubbery, black texture with slight bumps. They are much easier to press and the texture feels much better. The One X had weird, slippery plastic bumpers and triggers that made bumper-heavy games (like Dark Souls) a little less comfortable than a PS controller. The bumper feedback is much deeper than the old controller's plastic click, and I love that. The grips are also micro-textured, making this controller less slippery in that regard as well. The circular D-pad with raised arrows is very clicky and much louder than the One X's D-pad. Most games only use the directional keys to activate items, menus, etc. However, I'm not a big fan of fighting games. So I would read other reviews that might have stronger feelings about this change. Type-C cable instead of Micro-USB. . This means faster charging if you buy an extra battery. The controller is a bit heavier and feels solid. My old One X controller creaks and crackles a bit when I press the controller, the Series X makes no audible noise when I grip the grips tightly. I'd say the build quality has improved but we'll have to see if it holds up with age/use. immediately new. **** Strange note! For some reason there were all sorts of little dust particles on the outside of the controller, fresh out of the sealed box. I don't know why it happened but it happened right away so it might just be a storage thing.
