I wanted to buy an OTC tool for this after reading how many others broke this tool while using it. However, there were enough positive reviews and I decided to try and save some money, so I took a chance and chose this tool brand. I'm very glad I did this. After removing and installing roller tappets 30 times (6 removals and 24 reinstallations), you'll know what feels right and what doesn't. First of all, be patient! It's a long process. Make sure the tool is properly seated on the valve spring and seated in the cylinder head to compress the valve spring. It is very easy for the tool to catch on the boss of the cylinder head bolt and get stuck. If you keep tightening it I think these tools could then break. When positioned correctly, the torque you apply to the handle is the same for all valves. If it seems tight, stop and find where it's hanging. An inspection mirror is extremely helpful to ensure the push rod is returned to the correct position. Three times during this process I didn't have the tappet in the correct position and released the valve spring, only to find that I had to do it again on this valve to get the tappet in place. Otherwise, feel free to choose this tool over another more expensive brand. It works!
