It works but it's not what I was looking for
fit a normal handbag. It fits, but is much larger and bulkier than I wanted - too big to fit in my regular purse when everything else is in it and I'm carrying a decent sized bag. There's also room for a check book—who carries one anyway? I will send it back and look for a smoother version.
