Review on ๐Ÿš€ Intel Core i9-9900K Octa-Core Processor | 3.60 GHz | 8 GT/s DMI | 5 GHz Overclocking Speed | 14 nm by Minju Gim แ Œ

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Everything is fine, I liked the product, I bought it for a reason.

Since switching from the i5-8600K to the i9-9900KF, the following improvements have been made: - Missing microfreezes, which used to annoy literally in all games. - RTX 3080 was able to turn around at full speed in QHD. Previously, in heavy Cyberpunk scenes, the processor was loaded at 100% and the FPS sank to 50. The video card was only 70% loaded. Now the video card is working at full capacity, and FPS only occasionally drops to 70.

Pros
  • A powerful processor capable of meeting the needs of the most voracious games such as Cyberpunk 2077 in 2022. There is even a margin of about 30%.
Cons
  • Gets hot. Although the frequency is 5 GHz, I could not get more than 4.7 GHz from it even with undervolting. Let me explain that we are talking about stable operation at this frequency in stress tests with AVX. After 4.7 GHz, the temperature in stress tests exceeds 90 degrees, which already leads to throttling on my Z390-based motherboard. My cooling is far from top-end, but not cheap either. Medium dropsy. In games, you can probably get a higher frequency, especially if you are lucky in the silicon lottery.
