I seemed to have good battery life as I was using two very old double fives from a street razor and was still working in the mornings. However, the electronic controls are buggy and after trying for a while it started to turn off after 60 seconds. I unplugged the side switch, removed the batteries but couldn't fix it. Too bad because I'm just starting to really like it. It has excellent reception capability, picking up several southwestern stations during the day but oddly not at night; maybe my area. The price is unbeatable, I would keep it if it continued to work despite the faulty controller. PL-380. If you're tight on cash, I'd suggest spending a few bucks more and getting the Tecson PL-9012 instead, currently sold by Revain for $22.
