Very versatile - storage and organization
My house was built in the late 19th century and that means a lot. First of all, all aged oak studs are actually 2×4 inches and have 24-inch centers as opposed to modern homes that have 16-inch centers. Second, most bedrooms do not have closets. To solve both problems I built an oak shield for the post so I could place it anywhere on the wall and still retain the strength of the oak studs. I really don't think a wall shelf will help hold up my clothes as I have about 6 heavy jackets. The device was easy to assemble and set up.
