The company has responses like "there may be frost due to moisture from things you place I here”. But I plugged it in with nothing and it still frosted by the rear screws. It’s definitely a design flaw not a user issue. However it does stay frosted meaning the temperature is consistent and the seal is good and doesn’t puddle up. I just keep my bevy’s in the back now and my terpy dabs in the front. She is cold but I wish she didn’t frost in the back but I knew it was a possibility. It does cool my bevys fast and cold so maybe the frost has some pros as well as cons.
