Review on Remington H1016 Compact Ceramic Hair Setter, Worldwide Voltage, 1-1 ¼ Inch Hair Rollers, Purple/Black by Cristina Gonzalez

This kit was the first hot roller kit I tried. I've heard a lot about how easy it is to get curly hair and I wanted the product to add volume. I really like the packaging and it looks high quality. The reels heat up very quickly, the set is small enough for easy storage and the bag has pockets for reel clips. I've had no problems with roller clips and they don't dent my hair. I'm still experimenting with this product for curling curlers and making curls last longer. I've used this set maybe 5 times and while I think I've figured out how to set the curlers, I haven't figured out how to make the curls stay. My hair holds up VERY well no matter what tools I use. I have found that when I blow dry my hair and use curlers it becomes very tight, over time it softens and looks like my natural hair. The other day I tried smoothing it out slightly first and then using rollers. My hair looked great after I took the curlers off, but then again, my hair just became lifeless over time. I think maybe the reels aren't hot enough for me, I'll keep trying. Also, I took the advice of a reviewer who suggested buying 5 large replacement reels from Remington for $3.99. I did exactly that and am very satisfied. Now I heat 10 large rolls, then 5 small ones if there is space. Good advice!
