I borrowed a friend's Red Eye Flight headphones and that's it, I needed my own. They work fine. The rumble of the plane is cut out, the voices and babies' crying are muffled (the voices don't disappear). I can't say they're better than anything because I don't know. I've found that my ears get tired of their buzzing after a few hours and I suspect this is because the earbuds are small. But I like the coverage, the battery lasts a long time (at least 6 hours of flight - I always charge before every flight). The case also accommodates an eyelid, making red-eye much easier to treat. This is an old model so it was difficult to find.
