We are in a unique situation where we need a minimum width of 15" to cover an old 14" square hole cut in the ceiling for a recessed light in the 50's became. We've had a great fixture for the last 18 years but wanted to switch to LED. And it's been hard to find one that actually sits flush with the ceiling and really completely covers the hole with no corners sticking out. These two unfortunate angles, no amount of center shift could hide us. it's not quite flush. We tried another one that fit more flush but was still a bit smaller. So I ordered a MUCH LARGER round which is listed in 20" and while that's overkill due to some issues with these, others should have fit pretty snugly. Yes, overage is key here. So this will end up in my husbands study the other will go to the upstairs bedroom neither of which really need leds as my husband uses his desk lamps with leds more than one overhead but its a win win if we do that anyway Ever selling house to replace most of the overhead with LEDs This lamp was also difficult to tie to an electrician I'm not sure what's up with this as what we tried a week before was very simple .It's just the little troubles in life that happen sometimes.Some projects too.Where would our imagination and metallic strength be without a challenge?Stay safe and always have lich t if you need it.
